Do you have the url or the part number from the one you bought on amazon? I really can’t drive around like this it’s kind of dangerous. And I have been wanting to figure out what’s wrong with it anyway because turning the left blinker on is harder to move than putting the right one on so it’s two birds with one stone I guess. Still not sure why the new stalk didn’t fix the cruise control. I even reballed the module under the hood that also controls the wiper sprayer

Here is the intermittent one. Keep in mind this was for a 1990, I would verify that it is still the same part for 93 (don't see why not). In addition to being loose, the mist function was inoperable with the old switch and sometimes would fail to operate the wipers or washer at all. Works flawlessly now. If you have cruise/tilt you should have the intermittent/pulse wipers. Non-pulse means you can't alter the delay; it's either low speed or high, generally only have those on base model trucks.

Also a good idea to install a new turn signal switch. This will cure one direction being harder to select than the other; both will need to come out to install the wiper switch. Keep in mind this is not an easy job so take your time.

Here is the amazon link for the turn signal switch:

As far as the cruise, check the wiring manual to see if the right wires have power when the switch is operated. On my truck, the cruise module was bad, it does happen. You will need one from 88-93, the later ones DO NOT work.

So this sounds perfect then. My mist function never worked and it gets dusty around here so I needed it way more than cruise. I do have tilt so I must have the pulse one like you said! How hard was it for you to replace these two parts? I bought the lever already that’s how the switch broke. trying to put the new lever into the switch. I really appreciate you posting these parts and your advice I was starting to get aggravated with it all so hopefully it’s not too bad to install. we have lots of tools so I should be fine there.

also you said that the cruise module was bad and I think it must be bad on mine too because I plugged the new lever in and pushed the new lever into the switch just enough to use the blinkers and the cruise still didn’t work with a new lever

I will try to find a video on youtube if there is one on replacing those
Good luck! As I remember the only special tool needed was the steering wheel puller and lock plate remover, rentable from any auto parts store. Taking pictures along the way helps

Okay I am back. I handed the truck over to a local hot rod specialist and he fixed quite a few things. It turns out the knock sensor was ripped out somehow. He went ahead and replaced the sensor and the connector and the wire. I just got the truck back and it is still on. Any ideas?

Update.

Just looked and the temp sensor looks new. it has that burnt orange sealant on it so it’s probably good but I pulled the air filter off and there is NO Electronic Spark Control Module Relay at all on the plate and I didn’t see the 5 pin connector. Why would this be? I texted the mechanic and he said his 1992 silverado doesn’t have an ESCM either. He said it’s probably that the person that did that aftermarket exhaust didn’t reinstall an o2 sensor downstream
