Copper tubing, not pipe. And, yes, I've done that. (but not for a long time. I gave up and bought an assortment of copper lugs/ Pre-formed time-savers.)

+1, except that I then misplaced the assortment, can't find it, and refuse to order something that I just bought. I've made two terminal lugs that I shouldn't have to make if I could keep track of stuff.
