Egr delete- Plug egr hole on manifold?

Anyone out there done this before on their vortec? What did you use to plug the hole where the egr pipe goes into the header? The computer I got has the egr tuned out.

I have not done mine, but I know there is a blank off plate for the EGR hole in the intake manifold. As for the ext., I thinks its NPT threads, so a pipe plug should screw in, or you can cut the pipe off and crip the end, the braze it closed.

I found this. Is the tapered one for the exhaust you think?

Hummm go figure. In that case, cut it as long as you can, crimp it over, and braze the end shut.

FYI you'll probably want a tune if you delete EGR.

Tune n if u dont wanna mess with the mainfold end, get tbi manifolds or headers. Got my pcm tuned and egr turned off n runnin pacesetters for a 95 on my 98 with no issues. No egr tube on them to cap off.

The egr port in the intake manifold requires a 5/8 male inverted flare fitting.
