got a 96 k3500 srw JB8 with G80 full float looking to do drum brakes, found this website lugnut 4x4 kit for 600$ not bad but what i'm confused about whether i need to get "slide on rotors for stock vehicles" or "rotors behind wheel" i have the newer style drums which cover the hub so i think i need the slide on rotors, if you don't know its no problem i'ma give them a call next week after holidays.

here is the website

What's the point of spending a heap of money to convert to rear discs?

If the drums work properly, they're completely adequate. If they don't work properly, they need to be fixed--not scrapped.

Folks get so brainwashed about how disc brakes are "better" than drums; but the difference in real life is minimal. If you're giving-up functional parking brakes, it's actually a downgrade.

Wild Guess: You could get an entire rear axle with OEM disc brakes for about the same price--maybe less--as the "conversion kit". (And--added bonus--the caliper mounts tend to be better-engineered than the flat-plate disasters often included in the conversion kits.)
