Hello everyone, I have an 88 Sierra. I am trying to replace the fuel pump and have loosened the straps and all YouTube videos show a bracket that needs to be removed, mine doesn’t have one. The straps are loose and the tank won’t budge. What am I missing? I can’t move it at all?

Nothing besides the hose connections.

The foam strips on top might be fused to the frame.

I would think the ass end would at least sag a bit. I have tried prying it down and it won’t budge?

Because it's still attached. I'll ask it again, is the filler neck loose?

I just drooped mine a couple days ago, you'd be suprised at how well that filler neck can hold the entire tank. You need to get it loose from the body first, pull the tank down/back a little until you can reach the hose clamps and detach the filler from the tank itself. Then it will come down. Make sure you disconnect the fuel pump wires/lines first you don't want it hanging from that.
