On my 97 k1500 The door lock button doesn’t work on the drivers side. The passenger side works. When I use my key fob locks it will lock both but then will only unlock the drivers side?? Just wondering if anyone has an idea of what might be the issue. I’ve tried using a different switch but that didn’t help any. I should also mention that the interior lights don’t come one when I open the drivers side door but they come on when the passenger side is open. Not sure if it has any correlation but it might

The lights not coming on with the driver door open could be the door open switch on the end of the dash being broken. Common issue. By default you have to press unlock twice within a few seconds on the keyfob to unlock all doors, so if you haven't done that, try it and see if that works - rules out issues with the keyless entry module at least. The lock/unlock switches not working can be the switches themselves, but can also be the relays under the dash controlled by the keyless entry module. The driver door lock switch not working could be caused by a busted wire in that boot running between the door and the truck body. Over time the wires are stressed from the door being opened and closed so many times, it's not unheard of to have a broken wire or two after all these years.
Makes sense. Would you happen to know where exactly under the dash that relay is or what it looks like?
Just tested it out and you’re right. I just needed to press it twice quickly. Feel kinda dumb now

That does work to rule out the relays being a source of problems too. My guess for the door lock switch not working would have to be the wiring running from the door to the truck body now, since you've already replaced the switch itself. Look for a break in an orange, light blue, or dark blue wire in the boot between the door and body.
