I had to replace the door on my 2000 C2500...(long story), anyhow I had 3 different kits here to swap pins and bushings. Turns out ALL the bushings were TOO BIG. So I went to Chevrolet and got GM bushings, same thing, too big. I did some searching here and it seems 2000 was a "special" year for door pin bushings. So I drilled the top holes to 15/64 and the bottoms holes to 1/2 and used a bolts and socket to draw the bushings into the hinges...worked great. Door works awesome and now I can use 'normal' bushings. I did have to massage the lower(upper hinge) bushing a bit. I used the dorman splined bushings on the top hinge incase I destroyed them, they are easier to get, AND CHEAPER. I put a taper on the edge and lightly filed the splines. Greased up the pins and in they went.
