Distributor Noise

Right.

Well I do drive steep, twisty mountain roads, pulling a trailer.

There’s a shop about two miles from me. I’m gonna drop it off in the morning. They can definitely get things straightened out quicker then I can.

Plus, I just spent $70 on a cap and rotor. Hate to waste that...

Got the distributor swapped for a new one. Problem solved.

That's so weird you didn't observe any play in the old one.

I was messing around with the old distributor out in the shop last night. A lot easier to feel play when your not on your knees inside the hood trying to work behind the manifold of a big block. Obvious play for sure.
