Wow, that's about 100 times cheaper than The Detail SS.

    Well... It's Metra...

Meaning it will probably work just fine, but I have serious doubts about the fit and finish on everything. Probably won't look spectacular.

Just talked to one of the specialist, apparently the dash cover is a kit that contains it all. I am going to cancel the bracket in the morning and probably just order the dash kit so we can review it.

Dash kit is on its way. I'll post pics of the install when I get it in. Did need to note that the trim does look solid black and may not be textured. It still may be easier to mask that up and paint it than cut and bondo/fill the bezel.

this definitely has my interest. i'm getting ready to upgrade my audio and really don't like the 1.5din offerings left, and not crazy about going to a single din.

I have not done one yet on these trucks yet but I did do a install on a 99 Silverado using the Metra kit that converts over the dash from a 1.5 to double din http://www.crutchfield.com/S-aCls1tQpyTo/p_120DP3002B/Metra-DP-3002B-Dash-Kit.html Well thought out kit everything fits well your just going yo have to dye the dash piece to match the rest of the dash. I really wish this these kits where available when I did the double din swap in my 99 Silverado.

Mine should be in tomorrow, I'm not sure if I'll texture and dye or not. I may actually just dye the vents black, either way I will post pics. Here is one a little cheaper that I am trying to get price matched since the site says they do.

Mine did not come in yesterday, in fact when i sent them an email today asking for a tracking number they said that would take 24 - 48 hours. Not sure if i would order through that company or not. There are a couple others out there they may be more transparent. Anyways, when and if it comes in i will post pics and get it installed.
