For anyone who has Dash Command, I’m trying to figure out how to get transmission temperature’s. Using a BAFX OBD2 ios and after buying Dash Command also purchased “in app purchase” for GM 1996. Still not seeing transmission temperature.
Also, when looking at PIDS, to the left of each is a green ball showing what is supposedly supported. If you click on each one a check mark appears on green. Should I check each one like in picture below. TIA

Is Dash command one of those phone scan tool apps? And the BAFX I assume is a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle?

…for the record, all 4L60E’s have a temperature sensor. This is from the 96 manual.

Go into your gauges like screenshot #1

Click on edit gauges button and click on coolant temp sensor

Click in PID "Needle PID - SAE, ECT(*F)"

Click on the upper right 3-dots and select show all PIDs

Go down to transmission tab

And you'll see the trans temp locked but for sale. When you click on it, Dash Command will prompt you to purchase it and your good to go

Yea, I couldn't get a screenshot with the sale prompt but its the one 618 said. You will be purchasing a bundle of extra PID's for a bunch of different vehicles, not just that 1 but the way I showed above guarantees you will unlock the trans temp that your looking for.

Those instructions are just how to purchase it, you can then play around and get the layout how you want with the needle and digital readout to match and so on. It takes a little bit to get your display the way you want it but sit back with a couple beers and play around with all of the different capabilities it offers. The canned gauges are just that, a good starting point to mess with.

No, in his last picture it's the second tab (it has a picture of a lock on it) from the top: GM.TRANS.TFT

I saw that locked one, but since it was locked, I thought you didn’t have it.
So, this picture is what is available and you can see I purchased GM 96.

And here is list of PID’s under Transmission.

I don’t know where the locked PID is. Is it in another year that I could purchase possibly. Sorry for being pia!

Yea, I should have explained that better, its locked because I just downloaded Dash Command on my phone to show you the screenshots. I have it purchased on my iPad but I'm not an apple person so screenshots are eluding me on that device.

You missed the step where I said click on the upper right 3-dots, vertical "..." and select to see all PIDs. The red ones and locked ones will show up then.
