Ok. Truck is a 93k1500. Had a cs130 with square plug. I bought a cs130d with the oval.

I see adapters for like 20 bucks. But before i buy an adapter, is it possible to depin the 130 connector and buy a 130d pigtail and repin on it or are the pins different? From what i can tell just the connector are different shape, internal looks same tho. At least first glance.

Fwiw its not money, just rather have a direct connection instead of harness. Pigtail is around 10$, adapter is 15$

Snap photos of the terminals.

Each Aptiv/Delphi terminal usually has two-digit number engraved on them.

Is it the same number on each?

For a 93 model year GM, it probably used Metri-Pack series terminals. I don't think GM started using GT series terminals until the 21st century.

I meant the engraving on the terminal/pin. You need to remove the terminal/pin from the connector. Don't worry about it though.

Can you show me the rear of the rectangular connector?

So, it can be done, but you shouldn't. You see, the rectangular connector uses a one piece seal on the back of the connector. Therefore, the terminal itself is a Metri-Pack 150 UNSEALED female terminal. The terminal is unsealed because the connector has a seal. No need for two seals.

But the oval connector does not have a seal. Rather, the individual terminals are Metri-Pack 150 SEALED terminals.

You should not use a SEALED terminal in a connector that specifies UNSEALED tetminals, and vice-versa. The crimps on a SEALED terminal are wider because they have to wrap around the weatherpack seal whereas the crimps on an unsealed terminal do not.

But, see this post:

I think you are trying to do the reverse of what I did. Still technically won't work.

One is a sealed terminal.
The other is an unsealed terminal that uses a connector seal.
