Not quite the same issue, but maybe someone can help. My cruise control on my ‘98 works intermittently. As in I can get in and head to town and it works just fine. Switch remains on most of the time. Then when I head back from town, it many times will not set. Then it will work just fine again the next time I drive it. I don’t understand what could be causing the intermittent issue.
