For the older transmissions i run the cheapest Dex III i can find.. Its usually Vavoline at walmart.
Any DEX III will be fine tho. Dex IV is backwards compatible.

Dexron III or Dexron VI (fixed).

Regarding ACDelco ATF Type III,

GM auto transmissions from 2005-and-earlier model-year vehicles that are no longer under warranty, where the OEM previously specified DEXRON III H, DEXRON II or DEXRON ATF.

These 4L60-Es and 4L80-Es originally called for Dexron III, so the ACDelco ATF Type III is an appropriate ATF.

I use Castrol Transmax Dex/Merc.

Just to clarify, you guys meant Dexron VI (6), right? As far as I know Dexron IV (4) was never a thing.

This is why I never use the Roman numerals.

That's The Voyage Home, where they travel to the past and get a humpback whale so it can answer the alien signal. It's also when we find out about transparent aluminum.
