Common Abbreviations Found on the Forum

New to forum, and new owner of 1997 GMC K1500. Wondering about abbreviations such as NBS and OBS. I have used other forums and there is usually a list somewhere. Am I overlooking it?

NBS=New body style (99-06)
NNBS = New new body style (07+)
OBS= Old body style (88-98)
OOBS = Old old body style (73-87)

ECSB = Extended Cab Short Bed
CCLB = Crew Cab Long Bed
RCSS = Regular Cab Stepside

Etc.

Those are the common terms that most of the forums these days go by. The thing is, in 2050 when we have the NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNBS it will be confusing.

The proper way to refer to them as is...

GMT400 (88-98)
GMT800 (99-06)
GMT900 (07+)
