I managed to get my new coil springs installed today. After a brief celebration I inspected my work.

In one location it appears a side of an insulator got caught while positioning the spring.

I’m debating whether to leave it as is or take it apart.....

Any words of wisdom?

Just went through the same battle with my truck a few weeks ago.
If you dig back into it save yourself a bit of hassle by using some painters tape to hold the insulator to the spring. Double wrap it around the first coil or it'll likely come off while wrestling with it, I know mine did.

I took it back out today. Used electrical tape to wrap the insulator in about 8 different locations around the top of the spring.

All happy now.
