Just installed a 383 stroker in my '94 GMC K1500, has lots of power, tows great, but been told I should get a computer chip to tune it properly. Service engine light comes on when highway cruising so the computer still thinks its a 350 so is probably running lean. The last chip I got was from Fastchip but Ed retired so now I don't know where to get one. Anybody know who makes 'em?

Finding someone on the Gearhead EFI Forums would probably be your best bet for a mail order tune on the older TBI era PCMs. Not many people messing with them these days. I would stay away from TBIChips/Harris Performance, I've read some horror stories about them. Alternatively you could learn to tune it yourself, that same forum would be a great place to get help with that. Best case scenario would be finding a shop that would be capable of tuning it in person but that may be more difficult.

Here's a link to the Gearhead EFI Forums.

I see you're already on GearHead-EFI (LVJJJ?) and had dave w answer your thread. He can help you there. He did for me a while back with my 1227747 ECM. Yes, you'll need TunerPro RT, an ALDL cable, a Moates Burn2, and maybe an adapter socket, he can help you with that too. Then it's just a matter of some research...
