I have an 88 k2500 and in need of a dash wiring harness... the person before me made a mess of the original and now nothing works .. any suggestions or help would be appreciated.. thank you

I agree with @Wade, a junk yard near you is the place to go. They can gold mines for finding stuff for this generation of trucks, and they are usually pretty cheap compared to Ebay.

Your best bet for a drop-in compatible harness would come from years 1988-1990. 1991 would likely also work but you'll have to move a few wires around in the dash cluster connector. 1992-up no go as there are too many differences.

Use the 10th digit of the VIN to determine correct year. J=1988, K=1989, L=1990, M=1991
