The metal tab on the passenger side door broke off and not sure what it's called...

Can this part be sourced?

Is easy to pop out the window channel weatherstripping to replace?

Do you even need it?

Thanks in advance!

Never replaced one or popped the weather strip out to look at it, but I'm 99% sure it's GM part number 15667246. Looks to be held in with a couple of fasteners of some sort. It's part 58 on this diagram, labeled as "RETAINER. Side Door Window Glass." It's discontinued, unfortunately.

However, there does appear to be an eBay listing that has four of them available new for $10 each.

roll the window down, pull the weatherstrip down out of the channel. The piece you need is held in with two 1/8" pop rivets. I just put both of mine back in after removing them for paint.
