I have a 2wd 2 Door 1999 Tahoe. I bought a set of genuine GM headlights and parking lights and just had them installed a few days ago. The beam patterns look horrible. Anyone have any idea on why the beam patterns look like this? I have attached pictures. The first two pictures are low beam and the last two pictures are high beam. The bulbs are Sylvania XtraVision 9005 and 9006. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm curious where you got new GM headlights and parking lights? As far as I know those were both discontinued some time ago.

Did the shop that installed them aim them properly? Hard to tell from the pics but it kind of looks like the low beams are way up in the trees. There are two adjusters on the top of each housing for horizontal and vertical aiming. You want to make sure that the beams are spaced apart fairly evenly and that the low beams are aimed down a little so they won't blind other drivers. If you park facing a wall 5-10ft away and measure the height from the ground to the top of the headlight housing then dial the low beams in so the top of the beam is at that height, you'll at least be in the ballpark. @1998_K1500_Sub has some more aiming tips in post #52 here.

I bought them from a seller on eBay. They are stamped GM and Made in USA on the back, so I assume they may have been new old stock.

My uncle is a mechanic and he installed them, but I don’t think he adjusted them. His garage has an incline, so if he did adjust them, the incline may have thrown the adjustment off.

I was also thinking the beam looked like it was aimed pretty high as well. I’m going to try and adjust them when it stops raining here. Could un-adjusted headlights have that type of beam pattern? Thanks for the reply.

I've seen odd patterns from being misadjusted. But that pattern is really odd.
