Can I cut this bracket that goes from my alternator and steering pump to my exhaust manifold? Seems like there is plenty of support without it and would make replacing the manifolds easier.

I know how you feel...
All your accessories and crankshaft are tied into that ps pulley/alternator.... Seems like a pretty stressed out area.
It sure makes getting the valve cover back on kinda a pita....
They went with a different design at some point. Wonder if they're interchangeable...
Removing the ps pump with the bracket attached and bungee it to the side...Wasn't terrible

I also wouldn't. Its only a few extra bolts to remove it the right way. And vibrations in that area can cause you to throw belts without that extra support.
the power steering pump is bolted to that bracket behind the pump and I couldn't see how it would come off because there is no clearance . I had to remove the power steering pulley to get to the bolts to loosen the pump from the alternator/pump bracket, then remove the pump still attached with that other bracket that ties to the manifold...
hopefully I did it wrong and someone will call me stupid. Would like to know a better way
All in all it didn't take that long and it's nice to have the room... Can't stand that bracket..
I just dealt with this in a exhaust manifold gasket thread

You are correct, it all needs to come apart to get the bracket off. I did this a few months ago, it was annoying but needed.

Did you need a special puller for the pulley or were you able to just get it off?
