Hey all - just finished my transmission swap and now the ol gal is throwing a P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor. Now, mea culpa... I smashed a wire between the bell housing and engine block. Small harness, 3 wires. Nothing cut but one (pink) was damaged - bare wire visible through the insulation. Sooooo I smeared it liquid electrical tape and went on with the job.
My question to ya'll -- has anyone traced the camshaft position sensor wire? Does it pass over the top of the bell housing?
I was planning on driving down to southern Utah this weekend, 200 mi each way. Is it a bad idea or a BAD idea to go that far from home with a poor CSPS signal?
