Cab Light Install

Thought about it last night.... instead of guessing how much to cut on headliner, just go back to junkyard and get it! So, I did... pulled it from green Tahoe that I took pics from.

Now I can just lay it on top of mine (when I do get around to pulling it) and trace the openings... no guesswork!

Great write up. I have been wanting to do this just haven't had the nerve to drill through the cab.

On my 86 K3500 daully, the cab clearance lights were actually manufactured and embossed with " Grote " , and the back half ( facing rear) was painted flat black. I remember changing a burnt bulb, and thought " Grote, that's what we sold at the parts place I worked at."
