I have this buzzer in my truck and it started to go off when the truck is running with the lights on. I checked my truck and everything works. So my question is do I need it in the truck for something else or am I good leaving it out?

No, you don't need the buzzer, but a better question is, why is it going off to start with. Mine goes off if I leave the lights on, and turn the truck off. Once I turn off my lights, the buzzer stops.

Mine would buzz when I turn the lights on with the key off. I pulled it and it seems to be ok so far.

Mine goes off running, not running. Key in, key out. Lights on or off. Something is amiss with the wiring. Its far easier to just stow the buzzing in the center console than sort out the issue. That being said, I’m sure it’s the reason my battery dies within a week.
