It's not original drivetrain if that's what your asking. I don't know the codesUntil 91 crew cabs, blazers and suburbans. 80-91 square body bumpers would work. Brackets slightly different on 73-80 but would work as well if correct brackets used. Does it have the factory vss equipped np205? 91 recieved them, and 90 should have but some seem to be cable driven speedo
Only crew cab C/K 3500s were still squares through 91. Short and extended cabs switched to 400sK3500 were squares in 1990. Not sure when they stopped, I'm very new to these trucks and body styles, but I know that in 88 the 1500s and the 2500s received body style changes but 90s didn't.
Ops is a 90, should have a 400 trans.91 was pretty much the only year that recieved vss equipped np205 transfer case. Should be 4l80e transmission as well. Makes for easy ls/8.1l/vortec 7.4 swap.
Well that changes everything lol. I was referring to stock drivetrain options. It's not original drivetrain if that's what your asking. I don't know the codes
Right on. Good to know. Now to start looking. The 91 crew cluster is the only vss compatible square cluster, but it's entirely possible that some late m/y 90's had them as well. I imagine the same is true for the transfer cases.
@Bradster68 as stated any square bumper will work with the right brackets, I'm also sure that you can fab stiff to make 400 and 800 bumpers work as well.
I just bought this thing, theres so much to learnThe truck in the picture is a 1980 not 1990. the truck in the picture the bumpers went from 1973 to 1987. then the gmt 400 bumpers went from 1988 to 1998, and some until 2000.
He's wrong lolI just bought this thing, theres so much to learn
i missed that once discussion went going. Got excited on the though of another 91 V3500 showing up.Ops is a 90, should have a 400 trans.
