Hey, if it gets me closer to a Duramax swap so be it
Change that from Dirtymax to Cummandfixit and then you jumped into my shoes.

Side note, I'm trying to get ahold of a farcebook guy on an 07 Dirtymax without the Dirtymax. I was the Allison A1000 and transfer case.

How's that play with a Cummapart?
Six speeds as a double overdrive will make for a pretty happy Cummins because they prefer lower rpm. We only want the 06+ six speed version because that combined with 4.30 gears and 245/70/19.5 tire puts it at just over 1800 rpm at 70 mph. The 05+ F550 axles come in 4.30 and 4.88 gears so we have to be careful there as well.

I mean its ability to bolt up and how you'll deal with programming it?

I've got a 12-valve that I traded my buddy some parts for, I just need to pay the $400 I owe him and I get a block, a pair of heads and a set of manifolds.
I long thought about a Cummins swap in the green truck, but I love my dad's 03 LB7 so much and I know that would be a little bit more of a "comfier" mill for a truck that's going to pull the family camper when that time comes.

However I do believe a 67-72 K20 with a Cummins would make an absolute honey of a weekend warrior rig....or maybe 12V swap my 96...

I realized that I didn't post pictures of the mirrors but that is now a bonus because I did the grill swap today after work. Spyder headlights and a kinda cruddy grill but it was all stuff that I already had.
