Bucket Seat Repair

Bought a replacement seat from a salvage yard this weekend. It is a power bucket in cloth as opposed to leather. All I’m interested is seat bottom and primarily the frame.

Removed the handle and switch panel first.

Removed the seat track four 10mm bolts only one needed some persuasion, had to hammer a socket on it and break it loose.

View media item 32409Next started cutting the hog rings to remove the cover.

View media item 32411On the opposite side of the seat the cover slides on the seat frame with a plastic channel instead of hog rings.

Man they can be a pain. I remember when I was dealing with mine. I ended up using my original back rest on the 60/40

View media item 32412View media item 32417Next to separate the seat back and the bottom by removing two 10mm bolts. You have to pull the foam down pretty far to see the second bolt.

View media item 32410Next pivot the seat and pull off the pin on the opposite side.

Now the only thing holding the two together is the air pump hose.
