oh ok I didn’t even think of that, and what setting would you put that on? Sorry I’m just not to good with this stuff.
I used DC voltage. The rear ground is a metal loop with a bolt holding it down. Clean off the bolt and put the negative to the bolt. If you get a positive voltage reading on your meter you have a complete circuit.

Ok I will do that tomorrow. Yeah today I went around and looked for all the grounds and cleaned them all off with electrical cleaner and wire brush. I’ll let you know what happens. Thank you!

Ok so it is grounded right in the back. All lights work, just it only will do the hazards when I flip my switch left or right.
But, in the rear, which way I flip the switch to turn, it is brighter than the other side.
So if I’m turning right it is bright on the right side. The left side will flash dull. And The same Opposite.
But on the dash it shows hazards.
I’ve scheduled to take it in on Friday because this is beyond me. Wiring crap.
I just can’t find any help online, it maybe hasn’t happened to anyone else on these trucks yet

Still could be a bad multi function switch. That's similar to what the first bad one did on my Dodge. Only other things I can think of are a bad or pinched wire in the column or under the dashboard. Good luck and let us know what it is.

Will do! Do you think it could be? Everything was fine when I got the truck a year ago and then it started to flash hazards when I flip my switch either way. So I changed the multifunction switch and it does the same thing. I also haven’t seen anything online about someone having this issue. Usually when it’s a bad multifunction switch, it’s a different issue, I’ve always read. So I have no idea. I’m thinking it is something to do with a wire because all my grounds are good. I just don’t know where and which one it could be. So I’m just going to go to a specialist in this stuff. I’ll let you guys know what it was too, because down the road someone might have this same issue and there is nothing online about it.

Here's a couple of things to look at, if you have trailer wireing it is a common place to have been hacked up by previous owners and taped over. look for shorts there.
Another thing you could do is to remove the bulbs from all 4 corners and try adding one at a time. It may narrow your search down to one area.

2x on checking the trailer wiring harness. That's definitely someplace that gets abused and hacked up. I have a Hopkins adapter for the 4 prong trailer connector on my Burb. If you rent U haul trailers much that's what they use, and there's adapters available for other plugs.

It's possible. Wires can get pinched or rubbed through the insulation just about anywhere in and under the truck. 20 plus years of vibration and such. And it only takes a tiny spot making contact where it shouldn't, to create BIG problems.

Ok so some auto electrician shop found out that 2 of the bulb sockets where screwed up because someone shoved the wrong lights in them, which messed them up pretty bad, but they were still working. Just not correctly.

weird how that would make the flashers go off everytime you use the blinkers.

also the third brake light was not working, that was just because the light housing was all corroded but looked like it was fine. So had to buy a new one.

Thank you everyone for trying to help!!!
I hope this helps someone in the future!

sounds like a problem I had with my 97, it was the red Hazard blinker button, I popped it out, stuck in another, problem fixed :)
