I daily a 1zz-FE with a manual, gonna give that exact strat a go!
Please do and report your findings. The 2014 Sentra I had with a 1.8L/6spd manual, I shifted at about the same rpms and would knock down 34 mpg in town with the ac on. On long trips I managed 46 mpg a few times with the engine turning ~3,000 rpm at 70 mph.

Depends on your definition of slow and fast. I’m not saying you gotta drive like grandma walking speed acceleration ratio.
Im simply saying that goosing the throttle “Jack rabbit” starts aren’t gonna help mpg. Now obviously it depends because MY city driving can be completely different than someone who lives in the country version of city driving. I’m talking from the point of a typical city as ina urban setting not a one stop light Main Street or some spread out city with few stop lights here and there.
Accelerating at a steady pace to get to x speed then cruise is fine. But city driving is rarely such occasion. At least in my area that’s just not possible.

My 99 Tahoe with a cammed L30 305, 4L60E, and 3.42s rolling on 32" tall P305/50R20s consistently managed 23 mpg highway rolling 75 mph. Cammed 8.1/4L80E dropped that to 19 mpg. The Express van has gotten over 21 on 93 octane pump gas and gets 17 on E85 on the highway. 383/4L85E and 3.73s with 30.5" tall P245/75R16s. I run the speed limit and do not roll much slower than 65 ever (lower posted limits) and usually 75-85.
Can you post an image of your Tahoe with these tires?
I want to run the same on 20x10s rear.

Do not worry, I did not squat it. It has 454 SS springs up front to handle the 8.1L and no engine in it at the time. Wheels are 20 x 9.5. It sits with a slight nose down rake with a big block under the hood.
