Axle shifting on acceleration

Hmm ive been noticing this issue as well. Not a spec of rust on my truck but ill have to check out the u bolts.

Also check out the trans mount. I think for me it's probably more the broken trans mount and the worn our shackle bushings and not the U Bolts. But I'm just going to go ahead and replace them all anyway. U bolts are only $7 or $8 each on RockAuto.com.

When I changed out my ubolts I upgraded to this setup.
You get bigger diameter ubolts and it swaps the plate to the top so you don’t have that bottom plate holding water and mud.

Yep, I recall when those came out, they're essentially the U-bolt setup you get with a flip kit. No crud collection with that design.

I finally got the rear suspension done. Replaced all the bushings, u-bolt and the trans mount. I've only put 20-30 miles on it so far but I have not really felt the shifting. So, hopefully that is fixed.

I just used standard U-bolts from Rock Auto and AC Delco bushings nothing fancy.

Glad you seemed to have fixed the problem.
I like the kit in the link above as well, but being a 1 ton, 2wd looking at a 4" drop in the rear, the site says it ain't gonna work,- use factory stuff. Not enough clearance to the frame.
