Post your nomination, and 5 pics of your truck, Burb, Tahoe, ECT, GMT400, truck, for the August, truck of the month contest, here in this thread. Winner gets a free TOTM sticker. Yes, you can post your own truck. Stickers #3 (is a white ext cab), and #4 ( is a white dually 4 door). The stickers are clear. Only the letters, and truck image have color. They are on a white, peel off back ground.

Well I'll try again.

1992 c3500 dually traded for it back in December and wasn't sure what I was going to do with it at first. But now trying to bring it back to it's former glory and keep it 90s retro.

Truck has a build thread.

I don't want to see TOTM die, so I'll throw my truck in the ring. "Way Cool Jr" is a duty-first truck. It's not pretty, but it gets it done.

The home built motor is what's best about this truck:
350 4-bolt main TBI block, honed, but no overbore
Factory Vortec heads, 062 castings, no porting, no machining
Factory crankshaft
Speed Pro H345DCP flat-top hypereutectic pistons - 9.5:1 compression ratio
Speedway Motors 5140 steel I-beam rods, 5.7", bushed pin
Lunati 20080720, [email protected] 211/219, lift .507/.515, LSA 112
Factory roller lifters, dog bones, and spider assembly
Chevrolet Performance 12499224 LS2/LS6 valvesprings
Comp Cams 787-16 steel valve spring retainers
Comp Cams 648-16 race valve locks
Proform Parts 66914C extruded aluminum roller rocker arms
Summit 226018 Stage 1 dual-plane square-bore intake manifold
Holley Sniper fuel injection
Holley Sniper Hyperspark distributor with Hyperspark coil
Junkyard 700R4 - the original is in my shop, rebuilt, waiting for the junkyard trans to fail. The factory ECM still controls the TCC lockup.
Custom transmission crossmember to clear 2.5" exhaust
Hedman full-length headers 69440
Catalytic converters (I forget which brand I ended up buying)
Jones X-pipe SXP4
Cherry Bomb Salute Mufflers SA1226 x2 - Too loud! I have an additional Cherry Bomb Salute SA2568 dual-in/out muffler awaiting installation to get the noise level down.
Walker exhaust pipe 49008 x2

Interior pieced together from a dozen trucks at Pull-A-Part and recolored black with Duplicolor Vinyl Paint
'95 Cadillac STS heated power seats
Ford Escape? center console with 110v inverter mounted in back
Soff-Seal sound deadener under the carpet and in the doors.
Suburban compass/temperature mirror
Kenwood KMM-BT328U stereo head unit
Cheapskate Pyle "Blue Label" 4x6 speakers - they don't fit well under the dash grilles and sound terrible. It's not like you can hear it over the exhaust anyways.

Replaced the front ball joints, control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, sway bar end links, tie rod ends, tie rod adjusters, shocks, and wheel bearings & seals
Rebuilt the brakes front and rear
Suburban rear sway bar
The wheels are the Centerline Pro-Comps the truck came with
275/60-15 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s
This week I'm rebuilding a junkyard steering gearbox to replace the current sloppy, leaky box.

Bed painted with Seymour bed coating - not recommended, it's cheap, but it scratches if you look at it funny.
New windshield
New lenses all around
Repaired the tailgate latch
Repaired door hinges and windows, replaced all the seals, I still need to pull the door lock actuators and refresh them

This is the good side, you can't see the rusted out cab corner:

Engine before and after - even with all the upgrades I've tried to keep it looking stock:
