make sure if you use a gmt800 axle you make sure the parking brake is lubricated and parts are not rusty. mine was dragging (and made getting the rotor off HARD. like an hour of whaling on it with a mallet)
They need adjustment and has a backing plate and a rubber boot for the lever to the cables. theres a proper procedure and everything. I noticed my lever was partially moved on one side. The retainer pins holding the shoes , one died and it allowed the shoes to move into the drum of the rotor. Use antiseize on hubs and the rotor wall on the inside so they dont rust to it
