Pretty much like the title says - Are there any differences between the early and later year 2WD frames?

For some reason I remember the steering box mounting angle changing at a certain year. Is this true, and are there any other differences to be aware of?

I‘m considering combining my two 2WD RCSB projects into one, and using the better 1997 frame under the 1991 body.

The frames are identical from 88-98 for rcsb, and the rest are all different due to the wheel base changes for eclb, rclb, ecsb, etc....

The idler arm changed from 92 to 93. 88-92 used the 2 bolt idler and idler arm bracket assembly where 93+ switched to the 3 bolt idler bracket assembly and separate idler arm. The 93+ style is much better IMHO. Not sure if the 88-92 will bolt up to a 93+.
