Air conditioning box.

My 98 ext cab has that rear AC under the carpet. I hate it.
The truck is currently in storage until I can get onto it as my next project.
If I swap out the lower part from a reg cab will it swap? Or am I going to have to swap the whole box over?
Anyone tried this or think it’ll work?
Without looking at my 98 I can’t be certain but it looks like a good bet to me!

This picture is the lower part on a 97 I’m parting out, so it’ll be the donor if my plan works.

It'll work fine. The GMT400 physical HVAC boxes are all the same from 88 to the end of production, only the electronics on it changed. I pulled the ducting out from under my carpet as well - I'll never have rear riders so had no use for it.
