So Im starting to work on the "build" for my truck just got the exhaust done so now I'm looking to upgrade the sound system, I'm also trying to keep the build 1k or less

I'm thinking about getting this for a head unit https://www.crutchfield.com/p_613BT782HD/Kenwood-KDC-BT782HD.html?cc=01

I need to look for speakers front and back (I don't know the size for the back I think 4x10 or something along those lines) Ive had kickers in my k2500 they didn't sound bad so I might get those again but I don't know specifics/ details for what to look for

The amp I don't know either I believe I had a 4 channel in the k2500 but I've heard the amp I bought originally was for a bike lol. I also don't know if it would be worth it to try and run all the speakers off the amp too or just leave them being powered by the system they're already on

Last up a sub thinking about a single 12 or maybe 2 12s I haven't decided yet any specifics you guys recommend? Brand as well

Also for doing all this would I have to do the big 3? (Forgot what that is) I'm fine taking a little time to get others but main thing is head unit right now since I don't like the fm radio
Thank you for your future help

big 3 would be good to do for any vehicle regardless of modifications, in my opinion. you don't necessarily need to upgrade the factory wire going to the fuse box unless you have tons of accessories connected to the AUX A/B studs, but it sure won't hurt any to do it.

crutchfield will get you right on what fits/doesn't fit.

speakers will sound much better running through an actual amplifier versus the head unit.

please get fuse holders that use nuts and bolts with crimped lugs and not ones that take bare wire with set screws.
