Aftermarket gas gauge hook up?!?!?!?

If the degree of sweep is the same from the stock guage to your new guage, you can attempt to install it in the stock location.

If I were doing it, I would use the original guage overlay and original needle, but swap the guts of the new guage over into the stock location, it will take some fabrication and wiring though. Nothing is impossible.

You have 4 wires coming out of your fuel pump connector, the two bigger ones are for the pump, the other 2 are the level sender. Its basically a resistor, changes resistance between full and empty. Those are the 2 wires you need to hook up to an aftermarket gauge for it to work. You could also trace a wiring diagram back to see which two it is up at the cluster.

I've replaced the stepper motor with no luck. Yes they were good stepper motors.

Do you know what ohm range is needed?
