Still working on wiring fiascos. I went to another salvage yard and grabbed a brake light/ fuel pump harness that goes along the frame rail. I had to cut it out of the wrecked truck, because it had been rear ended so hard it folded the rear quarter of the frame in half, even with a receiver hitch on it.

Upon my discovery though, this harness has a factory trailer brake provision. That was more of the reason I took this particular harness.

So does anyone have an idea where to look for my problem. It’s electrical for sure, all three gauges oil, water, gas all peg past full/hot/max pressure (in accordance to gauge type).

Fuel peg past full indicates short to ground. I’ve added a ground to the cluster grounding it to the bottom of the dashboard. This didn’t change anything. Sending unit at the tank has an additional ground on the frame, that didn’t cure anything either.

I know when the oil pressure sending unit was bad on my Burb, the gauge would peg way past full. Replaced the sending unit and that fixed it.
The cluster ground did get attached to metal like the body or firewall, right?

Correct no change. I swapped in the correct temp switch for gauge and it pegs past hot. This is also the 4th cluster to do this, so I know wherever I need to look is in my wiring somewhere.
