A/C Knob Position and Speed

On my 1998 C1500, there are multiple speeds for fan. All work but the one next to the high position. Any idea why just that one won't blow air?

Usually a bad blower resistor but need check blower motor switch I've seen them burnt up and connector melted

Yep. Blower motor resistor, fan speed switch, connectors, are all your likely suspects and pretty much in that order.

FYI the switch is available separate from the controls; you don't have to buy a whole new A/C control if that's what is wrong.
