I wanna lift my suburban nothing crazy. Kinda wanna stay with my 285/75/16s maybe go to a 315/75/16 at most. I feel like a 6 inch is too much. Not just real enthused about keys. And keep seeing alignment issues with the rough country 3 inch kit. Body lift is a no go for me. Any suggestions?

Don't need a lift for 285s, on stock rims. I hate B/L's as well, but could go with a 315 on a stock wheel. I've tried to run 35s on a 4" lift and rubbed, but didn't have stock wheels. I've heard mixed reviews on the RC 3" lift, some say it's great, some say it's a pile of garbage. But most lifts are 4", with a mild crank a 6". Keys IMO are a gimmic, they only allow you to crank more. I've cranked mine almost 2" without affecting ride. Actually I think it made it better, not as marshmellowie going down the road....

Really just looking for a little more ground in the middle. The 285s clear NO issue. Turn stops are gone and it'll turn until the swaybar

"Lift keys" and those 3" lift kits are just a waste. Either way it's just a crank with extra parts and a lot of extra cost. You can already crank farther than you should with the stock keys, so if that's not enough then you have to go for a real 4-6 lift kit. If you're concerned about budget, let me tell you that the lift kit is the cheapest part of the whole lifted truck ordeal. 4" and 33s should be fine though if you have 3.73 gears already, and used 33s are easy enough to find if that frees up more money for a good lift.

Just acquired 5.7L 1999 C1500 Burb with about 114,000 on the odometer. One owner. I am very happy with it considering only the wheels and air filter where modified.

But I am looking to do the same thing. I snagged a deal on Amazon for a Performance Accessory 3” lift. Looking around for a steel 2” spacer for the rear axle. Once done, 33” tires for sure.

But before I get started, I began reading a few threads here. Came across the same questions with no answers. Can you do a body lift with a fully loaded burb? Does the rear AC or anything get in the way of doing such modification?
