I have a 1999 2500hd Silverado doner truck and a 2wd 4 door 1999 tahoe 5.7l my plans in the spring are to swap the lq4 4l80e and rear end out of the Silverado into the tahoe my question is will the dirty dingo adjustable mounts and the adjustable trans swap mount be enough movement to make the Silverado tear drive shaft work or will it need to be modified

I highly doubt the Silverado driveshaft will work.

The 80e is longer then the 60e but I do know you can get enough to adjustment out of the mounts to use the factory OBS driveshaft and just change out the yoke.

But with you wanting to change rear end too. Not sure if a b a s t a r d u joint will be enough or if the housing be too much bigger (mainly longer) and would still have to cut shaft at that point

You may want to start spraying penetrating oil (where the u joint bolts to the rear end) on that 14b now. When I removed the bolts off of my '99, 1 out of 4 broke. All 4 would have broken if I just started cranking on them. I used a propane torch and much back and forth to only have to drill one out. Crappy.

I’m not sure on suburbans, but make sure you check the spring perch spread… I had to make some modifications to put the 14b in my Tahoe bc the frame narrows in the rear. As for DS length, idk try to find a shaft out of a NBS 2500 suburban. It’ll probably be close enough for the tailpiece to make up the difference atp
