Short answer, I bet it's that first one you posted. GM part number 07848635.

Long answer with more explanation...

This diagram for a '97-'98 C1500 Suburban with a one piece driveshaft from Nemiga Chevrolet shows two part numbers for slip yokes.

https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/epc/chevrolet/54c-c/05/tx05-107/

One of them is that 07848635 you posted, and it has notations of "C1(16)" and "w/out balancer". The other is 88963576 which has a "K1(16)" notation and is mentioned as the fix for a '99 AutoTrac 4WD Yukon with the driveline "clunk" issue in this thread:

https://www.gmt400.com/threads/heres-your-fix-for-the-tahoe-yukon-driveline-clunk.30421/

My best guess, without measuring anything or actually investigating the parts any further... The 07848635 part with the "C1" notation is probably for "C" designated 2WD trucks, and the 88963576 part mentioned in the driveline clunk thread is probably for the "K" 4WDs.
That's helpful to know. So to be sure I need to pull out the yoke measure it as mentioned by everybody and then see what matches with either part number? I'd just hate to order it from gm and then its wrong for some reason...

Since OP's truck is a lifted 2wd, that might account for the "extra" rusty part(that's not engaged in the transmission tailshaft housing)? My Burb has the same transmission and rear axle, and last time I looked at it, front yoke was in the "normal" amount. My Burb is stock height though....
That is a good possibility. I didn't realize it may have pulled out that much

Yup, I bet that 07848635 is it though. Here's a link to an AAM part that claims to interchange with it, there's some dimensions on this page you could compare to.

Here's what gets me though which is why I made this thread. Most websites states its not compatible. Only gm says it fits. So if you were me you'd ignore the fitment warning? I'm for sure gonna measure the bearing caps, because for sure there the smaller option specs. I'll get ahold of a digital measurement. But from old school tape measure it's still roughly 1-1/16. Making it a 1330 series? The gm part # are roughly at 1-3/16 making it a 1350 series.

Yup. Especially if it's Amazon you're asking about. They and eBay are both notoriously bad with fitment info in my experience. I trust the Nemiga Parts diagrams more than pretty much any other source when it comes to OEM GM parts.

I'm not really familiar with the bearing cap diameters on different series of U-joints, but the page I linked you to with the AAM version of the 07848635 part actually says the cap diameter it fits is 1.125" (1 and 1/8"). A quick Google search seems to indicate that would fit GM 3R (1344) series U-joints. I could be wrong, but I'm thinking that's what you have.

Sounds good I'll report back when I get my digital caliper numbers

Well, looks like I'm wrong. That looks too small to be a 1344 cap to me. Probably a 1330?
That's what I'm thinking. Turns out gm vin part # match is also wrong. I'll be sure to keep yal updated. I'm gonna roll the dice and get the smaller yoke and I'll probably run up to oreilly to match the u joints . Once installed I'll post pics
