I've got this 98 k1500 that currently has a 3 inch rough country lift on it I've ordered a new 6 inch lift from rough country and before all this my ball joints in the upper control arm are shot is what I've been told. I'm not sure whether to order new upper control arms or which ones to order. If I could replace the ball joints in it and install my lift. Could anybody help?

Have a close look at the UCA bushings at the frame. If they're any kind of dry/cracked/worn/loose, then replace the entire upper control arm.
It's also the best time to remove the knockouts, if they're not already done...
