I'm getting ready to drive this thing back to Illinois next week, and it's been about 6K since my last oil change, so its about time.

I also took a sample of oil to send to Keystone labs. It's got 311k on it, and I want to see how healthy it is.

So I was bored this weekend, so I decided to fire up Gmod for the first time in a while, and of course I had to remake my Busurban model.

I made a little more progress on my Busurban 3d model.

It really makes me want to buy one of these and repaint it blue.

I also made a few other similar models including 'Ol Yeller.

I was looking on Ebay for a 1:24 scale suburban, and I found this.
Suddenly a dim forgotten childhood memory lit up. I HAD THIS TOY!!

The funny thing is that I never actually watched Monster Garage when I was young.

Those are pretty hard to find, period, especially with all its parts. I don't think they made it in 1/64 scale because of the working features. I've never seen one anyway!
The Brookfield ones are nice, and accurate on the outside, but I'm not sure how much interior they have since they are made to be banks. Diecast banks were a big memorabilia trend in the 80s and 90s.

My model came yesterday.

I need to find some better wheels for it, but it looks pretty accurate.

I already got a can of 9792 Duplicolor paint, so I'm probably going to paint the base today.

So I've been living without heat for the last month. The truck just wasn't getting up to operating temp, so I assumed that the thermostat was stuck open.

Yesterday, I finally replaced it, and I was correct.

This thermostat is only 2 years old, I replaced it when I did the water pump. I swapped out the 180 thermostat for a 195.
