So I just brought 'Ol Yeller back from the dead with a used transmission (Someone tried to steal it a few weeks ago and shattered reverse).

This means that I actually can do some work on the Burb since it's not my only running vehicle anymore.

It needs the whole front end rebuilt, an alignment, new rear shocks, as well as an exhaust doughnut on the passenger side.

I'm also probably going to finally do the two tone on the truck pretty soon.

In my video (sorry for mixed formats and sources) I demonstrated (I hope so

Reminds me of when I took my truck to Moab.

Unlike your truck, mine isn't a serious offroader, but it get the job done.

I mostly bought it as a daily driver.

So I picked up a new battery for the Burb, a cheapo marine cranking battery

I plan to eventually get a nice one from Interstate Battery, but my old one was 5 years old, and would die after two days of sitting.

OK cool! Just wanted to pass along my experience. Before that happened, the Burb was stopping fine, though, so you don't get much warning that it's going to collapse like that.
It too went through this nightmare. My hoses didn't collapse but the inside started coming apart and blocked the fluid from returning. Happened to one wheel after another over a one month period. Left me stuck on the freeway until it cooled down and I was able to pry the caliper open just a hair and drove 80 mile home using the e-brake. Mine were 20 years old but only had 110,000 miles.

I'm not quite sure when, but I think it was while in the gated parking at my apartment complex.

If it were any other door, they would have gotten in, but the lock cylinder is unhooked since it doesn't match the rest of the truck.
