It went over 210F with no thermostat??? I think you need to plan on getting a new radiator.

I'm not getting the missing part. Just running hot shouldn't cause the engine to miss.

It did, and a new radiator may be in my future. I will flush it out, and see what happens...
I'm not getting the miss either. It's almost like it's a fuel starvation issue, but I don't know how that can be caused by running hot.

Agreed, but the timing was severely retarded before it was tuned. He got it within specs, but it was still -1.9

Black box still. If I keep the 454 it will get the 0411.

No, I haven't messed with it yet, but I will update when i do.
The plan is to flush the cooling system and then replace the radiator. As @454cid stated, this one is most likely junk.

I don't know if it's important to you, There is a guy in SC that stocks rads for these trucks and ceramic coat them.
