Recently when filling the gas tank on the Tahoe I noticed that the fuel gauge now reads just above 3/4 tank when it's full.
Years back when having the fuel pump replaced (again!), I went with the one that had a supposed new feature which keeps the gauge calibrated. Before the gauge would read way over full for a long time.
After the new pump was installed, the gauge has worked great. It has always read correctly.
Going to go check with the dealer on it but wondered if anyone had any insight on this.

It is more than likely an issue with the floater attached to the pump. High resistance from the floater to the wire could also cause the gauge to read a bit off.

Maybe ensure that the floater operates properly and isn't getting caught on anything I looked at photos of the pump and it looks like the floater operates on a rail-type system.

Make sure nothing is in the way of the rail portion blocking the floater from going all the way to full.

I dont pay much attention to my gas gauge. For me its "how many miles till I need to fill it." I track with the trip and fill every 290-310 miles.
