They make one that is just for recaling tire size, gear ratio, ECT. Its about $100 less than the flash tuner.

Did you do the swap or a shop?

I'm sure you just need to modify the DRAC (digital ratio adapter controller). Did it with my 94 ...I have extra jumper DIP switches if needed.

Not sure who you're responding to specifically, but what you posted only applies to the '95 and prior trucks. The '96+ trucks don't have DRACs.
