97 C1500 4.3 Vortec - Remove Fuel Pressure

I am doing some mild restorations to my truck, I need to remove the fuel tank and don't want fuel to spray on me and make a mess. Is there a way to remove the fuel pressure from the fuel lines before removing the tank?

If it's the same as a 5.7 Vortec there will be Schrader type test port in the engine bay close to the injector block/spider on the driver's side. Push its pintle down and the pressure will be released. Only takes a second or so but the fuel does spurt. A rag wrapped around it will catch the fuel.

Can also pull the fuel pump fuse and let the truck run till it dies. Release the gas cap too.
