The answer is no. They're not different and it'll bolt right in.

I swapped a 9.5 14-bolt from an '88 LD 2500 into my '00 Yukon Denali a couple years ago. It was nearly a direct bolt in.

It directly attaches to the leaf springs with the saddles from the 7200 lb gvw 2500, the shocks are directly in line with either truck too. The 1500 Denali parking cables even directly attached to the larger rear brakes.

You will need new u-bolts and a conversion u-joint, Moog 477 or equivalent, installed on the OE driveshaft, and unfortunately you will lose the rear sway bar.

On mine, I bought an aftermarket rear sway bar from Hellwig, part number 7555, along with a set of front sway bar links from a Dodge Promaster to attach to the OE Yukon frame mounts.

Lastly, for accuracy, the Yukon is 92-99 (2000 with my Denali), not 88, 89, 90 or '91 as you posted.

I have a 1998 K1500 Suburban that I want to put a 14 bolt semi float in, with the stronger front differential as well. What vehicle to I need to find to get a direct bolt in without any modifications if possible for both. I cant find clear information on line so I thought I would try here... Thanks in advance.

Can you snap a photo of the rear swaybar?
