Is this normal? Hits frame rail and diff.

Yes, the date on the filter says '13...... New to me truck.... first oil change.
I had to wedge it between the frame & yoke and roll the driveshaft to spit it out.....
Had to do the same to get the new one up in there.
No access up top, either.

Any 454 owners comment on this?
Frame rail tweeked? Diff mounts worn? Normal?

That cannot be right.

Collapsed engine mounts? (Mine were a disaster, and no suitable replacement available--nothing but Communist Crap)

Wrong oil filter (too-large diameter?)

Wrong oil filter adapter?

Decided to crawl under and look at the motor mounts (pretty much unsuccessful - wow). However, looks like i found another problem .... The trans mount bolts are gone!

Looks like trans is moved over about an inch to the driver's side.

Any idea what size bolts I'm looking for?

Appears to be a similar filter adapter ......

Might be confused about my first pics.... That is the filter removed from the adapter. I was attempting to drop it out between the frame & front diff (the only place i could see it would fit).

It would barely fit.... I had to rotate the driveshaft/yoke to "walk" the filter down after i unscrewed it from the adapter.

Entirely different oil filter adapter...right?
Could be the same might just be the angle the pic was taken.Putting the trans back in the correct location will probably fix the problem.I wonder if the adapter is 180* out? Is that possible,dunno....
