I want to park my 98 in the garage for the winter here in Indiana as it is 2wd and has little rust. I want to drive my 94 4x4. But the 4l60e is going out in the 94. I found a 95 parts truck but it is 2wd. Can I use the tranny if I use the 95 computer or is there any other differences. I know 95s are an oddball year but I am considering this parts truck because it is teal green like mine but a lot less rust.

I don't know about the computer side of it but a 2wd trans is different then a 4wd trans. The transfer case bolts to the trans so the 2wd trans wont have any of the provisions to bolt it one.

It will bolt up after you remove the tail shaft housing but you have to change the output shaft to a 4x4. So you might as well rebuild the trans that's belongs to it.

Ok I'll just look into fixing it or in finding a 93/94 4x4 trans
